Our Ingredients

All of Lavandis ingredients are organic, natural and sustainable. We carefully select only the finest ingredients in our products so that you can have the best possible skin and bodycare experience.

Botanicals

All our botanicals have been specifically selected for their reported benefits, which are outlined in our botanic ingredient information below.

Organic Alkanet Root

We infuse organic extra virgin olive oil with organic alkanet root into our Lavender Fresh Soap, giving the soap a subtle lavender hue. Alkanet is an astringaent and a source of red pigment in cosmetics. It was traditionally used topically for the treatment of skin wounds and diseases. It also has anecdotal antiaging effects; however, clinical trial information supporting this is lacking.

Organic Dandelion Leaf

We use organic dandelion leaf for the abundant amount of minerals and vitamins it contains. When used in a shampoo bar it is excellent for the stimulating the hair follicle and encouraging healthy looking hair.

Organic Elderflower

We use a water infusion of these organic creamy-white flowers to help with moisturising, conditioning, and hydrating dry, damaged hair. They also have hair-softening benefits and help to improve shine and manageability. Rich in flavonoids, sterols, and fatty acids, these flowers help to soothe a dry, irritated scalp.

Organic Marjoram

We infuse extra virgin organic olive oil with organic marjoram leaf for its reported analgesic, antiseptic, bactericidal, and fungicidal properties. These properties make it a perfect shampoo ingredient. This herb contains an abundance of phytonutrients, minerals, and vitamins.

Organic White Willow Bark

We use a water infusion of organic white willow bark as a gentle cleanser, which is great for clearing skin pores of excess oil. It helps to balance oily scalps while maintaining a healthy level of sebum for conditioning, and protecting the hair strand. Sebum is a natural oil produced by the scalp. The rate at which this oil is produced is affected by a number of factors, including the ingredients of your hair care products.

Butters

We only use the finest quality butters, selected for the benefits they add to our range of luxurious products. We are sure you will love them as much as we do.

Organic Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it is often touted as a master hydrator and skin nourisher. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture, and this wonder product improves elasticity. It is rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals, which may slow skin aging by protecting against damage from UV rays.

Organic Shea Butter

Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the shea (karite) tree. This luxurious butter is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F and provides the skin with essential fatty acids, as well as the nutrients necessary for collagen production: oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids. These acids protect and nourish the skin to prevent it from drying.

Clays

After extensive research and many trials, Lavandi selected the highest spa quality clays for our skin toning and replenishing minerals.

French Pink Clay

French pink clay is considered to be the mildest of all the clays and works well for normal, sensitive and mature skin types. Its unique composition includes kaolinite, iron, illite, montmorillonite and calcite. French pink clay can be used to cleanse the skin, remove dead skin cells and create an overall refreshed appearance.

French Red Clay

French red clay comes from hematite iron. Its colouring is the result of copper oxides. Rich in kaolinite, illite, montmorillonitea and calcite, French red clay is best suited to normal and dry skin types.

Rhassoul Clay

Rhassoul clay is very rich in trace minerals and has a high silica and magnesium content. This makes it beneficial to the skin, so it is an excellent ingredient for soap and shampoo. Rhassoul clay benefits dry, reddened or flaky skin, and helps with elasticity and smoothing.

Essential Oils

All the essential oils infused into our luxurious range of products are there to enhance them with numerous reported benefits. The aromas they give off are beautifully balanced to create the kind of extrasensory pleasure you'll crave time and time again.

Organic Bergamot

Soothing and cooling, bergamot is ideal for dry, itchy skin conditions. Its fruity aroma helps to elevate a low mood. Furthermore, its antibacterial and antiviral properties make it a great addition to soaps and shampoos.

Organic Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus helps your body to fight bacterial and fungal infections and relieves aches and pains, which is why we use eucalyptus in our sport range.

Organic Jasmine

Jasmine is one of the most uplifting and relaxing oils. It enhances wellbeing, and tones and soothes the skin. The name jasmine is derived from the Persian 'Yasmin', which means fragrant flower.

Organic Lavender

Lavender is one of the most popular and versatile essential oils, with a calming fragrance. It is known for its rejuvenating and soothing effects making it a good skin healer.

Organic Lemongrass
